Once again another great pattern from DIBY. It is on trend and fits so well. I have made three and between these and the Melissa, it seems to be all I am wearing for shirts.

  2. cherylclement888 (verified owner)

I love the result and plan to make it again. Easy to follow directions made it a quick sew. I like it for light summer sweaters but expect it will be great for heavier fall ones too.

  3. whitty145 (verified owner)

This is such a genius design with optimal fit I’ve come to expect from DIBY. I love the drape and design so much! I also enjoy that depending on fabric choice the Cecilia can be worn for many seasons.

Great pattern. Very comfortable. Will definitely be making more

    So cute and comfy

This is truly my favorite sweater if the season. I have made 3 so far and have plans for many more. Thanks for this lovely design.

Simply fabulous. Classy casual, easy to wear with everything. Made this in a loose weave sweatt knit and have been wearing it all the time ever since. It has now become my favourite sweater of all time ♥️

Pattern is easy enough to follow, though the overlap part was a little confusing at first. Pining was very important.

I highly recommend this pattern and will be making more of these in different weight knits.

Simple and quick pattern that was a pleasure to sew. Great for nursing / breastfeeding. Simple and stylish and great to throw on over a tank when you’re wanting to look out together when you’re a dead tired Mama!

Found the pattern slightly long for my liking so I shortened it to sit on the hips. Also did a rolled hem. Planning to make more! Beautiful fit and wonderful clear step by step instructions. Another awesome pattern from Jess and DIBY!

I love the design of this sweater. Incredibly easy to sew and even easier to wear!

Great directions and made a version with so-so fabric. Had to play around with the overlap because of large bust/small waist and I wanted it to fall just right. New to knits and apparel, but not sewing. This was great as I’m still hit or miss with neck banding.

A great introduction to pdf patterns for me. It went together beautifully. Such excellent instructions, and I can’t wait to make a second and third in different weights! I know this is going to become a ‘run it up in a day’ favourite 😊

I am so happy with the top I made from this pattern!
I am usually disappointed when I make something from a pattern but I followed the grading instructions and the tips about sewing with knits and they were a game changer!
I will be making many more tops from this pattern and other DIBY patterns! thank you for all the extras you provide!

I have made a couple of these with a nice light to medium weight sweater knit. I love the relaxed fit. I’ts like wearing a comfy cardigan that you don’t have to mess with the front hanging open all the time. I have also made this as a nursing top for a friend. Very nursing friendly without looking like a “nursing top”.

Love this pattern. I made one sweater so far and I just purchased some more knits to make a few more. Style is perfect. The pdf files are so easy to use and the instructions for grading and sewing are perfect!

This is my favourite thing I have ever made myself and I’ve been sewing for 30 years. I’m the kind of person that normally ignores custom fitting advice (and live to regret it) but DIBY makes custom fitting so easy, so for once I did it properly, and the results speak for themselves! Love, love, love this pattern!

I made this sweater for my daughter and she is so pleased with it. She is in the early stages of pregnancy so the folds fall really nicely. I found the pattern easy once I took my time to read the instructions and consider how it all went together……been asked to make another one now

As i am only 5ft tall, i shortened this, following the instructions. I wasnt sure if i had done it correctly, but carried on, and it was perfect! Lovely design, and a bit different from other tops

I have a few DIBY patterns in my stash, but I’ve only gotten round to making one, the Cecelia sweater (with thumb cuffs), and I am delighted! Quite easy if you focus, and brilliant result. Particularly happy with those cuffs— absolutely worth the extra attention— they look and feel great. Made this as a cover-up to throw on at the end of a yoga practice, but ended up wearing it to work— great for layering!

I’ve just done a trial make for my daughter, thinking to make another as a Christmas present for her. But this first version has turned out so well that she’s getting this one for Christmas and I’m going to make another for me! This was really easy to make and looks stunning on. Thank you!

I love the look of this piece. I am looking forward to cutting it out today and seeing it. Thank you for a classic tunic pattern with a little flare. Instructions are clear, alteration suggestions clear. Sewing direction are understandable and the videos are very helpful.

I love this jumper and have made it. It’s not quite as drapy as I’d like but I think that is because I used a cable knit jersey and I need to grade up of the bust. The instructions are super easy to folly and I have a lovely thin jersey ready to go for a second try. I am a beginner and this was my first garment for me.

The sweater was cute and came together well, but I have never used a pattern that doesn’t specify the seam allowance. I had to Google it and read through half a blog post about what seam allowance is before they mentioned they use 3/8 for knits. I went by measurements and it still came out pretty big, so I’m still not certain that was correct. That is pretty basic information, and it honestly turns me off to these patterns.

    • Jessica

Hi Roxanne! All of the seam allowances are printed on the pattern pieces themselves for your future reference. So sorry for the confusion!

Ok, this is a great pattern. it took me a while to figure out how to lengthen the pattern because I am 5′ 10”. But, I did it. I get a lot of complements on my sweater. Love it!!!!

  24. Lesia Hulme (verified owner)

This is an AWESOME pattern for big girls – very flattering, comfortable, and easy to sew! I bought this pattern 3 weeks ago and have already made 5 of them for my daughter and granddaughter. My daughter is a nursing mom and absolutely loves them!

  25. Joanne Goppelt (verified owner)

I finally made this lovely sweater and am glad I did.

The directions were very clear, the illustrations right on point and the end product was great.

I love sweaters in theory but they’re usually too hot for me to wear inside. This sweater, with the 3/4 sleeve option and my lightweight hatchi sweater knit fabric, is perfect for me to wear indoors.

  26. Lynne Smith (verified owner)

This is a lovely pattern that makes up beautifully. I was a bit concerned it might be tricky but it wasn’t at all. I made it for my daughter who loved it! Will definitely be making more!
