As an upper plus size, I was SO thrilled that this pattern (And all DIBY Patterns) started with sizing that actually encompassed the size of my curves!
It had amazing ‘fit tips’ which show how to spot your jeans need adjustments, and how to do them. I was really impressed this was done proactively as part of the pattern, not as a string of tutorials after the pattern release. I can’t wait to make my next pair, They fit so much better than any store bought pair has, ever.

Loved that I could print these at a print shop and have it all on a couple of pages. The pattern is nicely written and I loved all the extra details included. The fit guide is amazing to get the perfect fit. Even the simple thing as putting a line showing me where to lengthen shows how well it was written.

I adore this pants pattern. It was easy to adjust the fir to get it just right. The instructions were clear and concise, and the sizing was perfect. I wouldn’t say this is an easy pattern, but it’s definitely worth the time!

These are amazing jeans. I still cannot believe I took on jeans! It was a more involved project but DIBY was there, helping me along every step of the way. Excellent fit advice, terrific instructions, even very detailed videos for the tricky bits. Thank you!!!!

I found the pattern easy to follow and easy to sew up. The fit was a bit more of a struggle – the waistband was huge even with a triple check on the measurement and the high cut was not even close to a high cut. I had to adjust the pattern by an inch and a half to get it even close to my waist. This also meant that the back pockets fit more on my upper thighs than my bottom. (this will adjust when I adjust the pattern)
That all being said, it is all about customizing a pattern to fit our unique body shape and the trouble shooting part helps to figure out where you need to adjust. After the first go, it should result in a lovely, perfectly fitting pair of jeans.

After a disastrous attempt at making pants many years ago I was rather sceptical that I would actually make jeans that fit but as RTW jeans never fit me all that well and bootcut are hard to come by I figured it was worth a shot. Wow. Amazing instructions, helpful fit tips…I had to grade up a lot in the high hip which was pretty scary me being new to adjusting patterns to fit despite learning to sew quite a few years ago – but my muslin fitted. My first attempt in denim followed (mid-rise), and again the results were great. As an experiment to eliminate the muffin top without my jeans falling down, I tried high rise next which I avoid in RTW because I’m short and they never fit properly in the waist – and found the perfect jeans pattern for me. I was ecstatic and have worn both pairs a LOT and there will be many more of these in my life! The hand-holding instructions – especially the info about adjusting the pattern to fit – and helpful pattern markings about where to grade between sizes/shorten or lengthen lines – were exactly what I needed and the pattern worked brilliantly for me. I have quite literally never had jeans that fit me so well and as a huge bonus they were in the bootcut style I like, AND due to being made the correct length in the first place, I didn’t even have to hem half the boot part off!!! Now I just need to practice fancy pocket top-stitching and find more stretch denim…

I haven’t had a chance to make up any of these jeans yet, but I have read the pattern and looked at the videos, the detailed instructions and videos are amazing which of course, is to be expected from DIBY club patterns

Loved this pattern, directions were very good. I was able to modify the pattern to my measurements and the fit was great.

Wow, I love these! I set my expectations low since it seemed like a bit of a challenge and I don’t really do attention to detail, but the instructions were really helpful and it was actually pretty easy. I finished these flood length jeans at the weekend and I am over the moon at how amazing they turned out, considering said low expectations. I cycled to work in them and they were super comfy and didn’t fall apart, and I think they are now my favourite jeans! I always struggle to get jeans that are long enough, and there is always some compromise with the fit somewhere else, but I am dead chuffed to have found this pattern and I’ll be making many more pairs as soon as I order myself some more denim. I now need to make some tops to go with them, so just ordered two more patterns 🙂
